Lucrez-IA: artificial intelligence serving the Unipd community
Lucrez-IA is the University of Padova's assistant, developed by the Digital Learning and Multimedia Office to support faculty and technical and administrative staff. Thanks to advanced artificial intelligence technologies, Lucrez-IA provides immediate answers on university-related services, making the university experience smoother and more accessible. An innovative project that combines academic tradition with the digital future, to support you along your professional path.
The new 2026 version is now available, with enhanced features and an improved user experience.

Why we're telling you this
This isn't just a regulatory obligation — anyone working within a research and educational institution has the right to know what tool they are working with. Transparency about what Lucrez-IA is, how it works and where it can go wrong is not a legal-protection disclaimer: it is an act of respect for your professional expertise.
How to use it well
Lucrez-IA can make mistakes. We say this plainly because, in a university setting, this is not a bureaucratic warning: it is a methodological principle. Checking the answers of an automated tool before using them is exactly the same thing you would do with any other source. Your critical judgment does not switch off when you use an AI system: it applies with even greater rigor.
Your data
Conversations are handled in compliance with the GDPR. They are not used to train AI models and are not shared with third parties. You always have the right to access, modify or delete your data through the same system you access with your personal SSO.
